Palms, and Pendulums and Spoons, oh my!
It WAS a great time at the Brockton Preparatory Gala Fundraiser at the North Shore Winter Club tonight! Everybody was using pendulums, bending spoons and I got to read some interesting palms… and minds too!
Hands are fascinating things, and it’s always fun to “collect” special lines or markings that until you met this particular person was only a description in a book. The audience tonight was especially open-minded and game to try something new or strange. It made all the difference.
Thanks particularly to Sera and Michelle for an amazing evening.
I predict…
… an excellent time this evening, as I prepare to read some minds and palms at the Brockton Preparatory Fundraising Gala.
Autumnal Connections
I love the connections between all the very different things that interest me. For example: Although I have passing knowledge about the art of Astrology, I know much more about the science of Astronomy… And I love how the our forebears had the genius of creating the constellation: Libra, The Scales and how as it nears the setting sun on fall evenings it marks the equinox– when day and night are equal– and how soon the dark will be overwhelming us and the spirits will able to enter our world.
It’s both cool and spooky… and, aside from the spirits, essentially scientific.
Apologies and Excuses
It’s so hard to give regular updates at this time of year… By which I mean: a) this time of year when I’m working on a TV show and b) this specific time of the year when people are particularly interested in booking what I’ll generically label: mystery performers.
So thanks for checking in, but with so many gigs coming up, my TV writing work continuing into the new year and a new baby due in 6-8 weeks, I’m not sure how I’ll get around to writing all the mysterious trivia floating around in my head.
But I will try.
Free Won’t?
The assumption of Free Will is one of our core beliefs… it’s also the classic subject of many mind reading experiments. Many of us stroll through life with the idea of our mind and body being separate entities… that there is some part of us “outside” watching us and making the decisions.
Mathematician, Marcus Du Sautoy, offers an examination of those assumptions that might rock your world.
A Mind Reader for the Holidays
Wow.
Everybody in the world *is* more organized than I am. Not only are things starting to book for the for the holidays– but I’ve got my first booking for next year!
Go ahead… make your “Hm, some mind-reader” jokes now… I can take it… all the way to the bank, baby!

Any mind-reader worth his or her salt knows about the close relationship between moods, emotions, feelings… and predictions.
